HOW IT ALL BEGAN…….
Back in 2020 when the world stood still amidst the Covid pandemic, right after the flood episode in Kerala, a huge collection of footwear got damaged, putting the sneakerheads in an emotional turmoil. As a result, it was a dedicated community of sneakerheads who birthed the idea of shoe laundry- an alien concept to the people at that point of time.
Started as a WhatsApp community of sneakerheads, Kleen Sole later got transitioned into a safe place for any other footwear enthusiast to share their concerns, queries, tips, educative content and even a platform of e-commerce.
It all started taking shape from an unutilized attic space. The team experimented on footwears of the community members in its initial phase. Numerous cleaning techniques which can cater to every variety of footwear material ranging from leather to suede were carefully examined and chosen. The customer base grew with time and the popularity of this concept scaled amongst wider sections of people.
Kleen Sole believes that a footwear is not just a fashion accessory but a true companion for life. After baring the everyday brunt of the world, they deserve to be taken care of and appreciated. In a world where aping fast fashion trends is considered ”cool”, this initiative also serves for a sustainable cause of reducing industry waste and carbon footprint by working on the longevity of the products.
